Turning lived experience into
frontline insight.

Breaking cycles of exploitation through lived-experience leadership, mentoring and community support.

We support young people affected by exploitation and the professionals working with them.

We work across schools, communities, alternative provisions, youth justice and local authorities to ensure support is accessible.

Our work is grounded in lived experience and trauma-informed practice, meeting young people with honesty and without judgment.

We provide mentoring, group programmes, training and consultancy for those supporting high-risk young people.
Our
Story
Get to Know Us
Trapline Legacy was created to shine a light on the young people who are too often misunderstood, criminalised or overlooked. Our beginnings aren’t rooted in theory or policy — they come from lived experience. From understanding exactly how exploitation happens, why young people get pulled in, and what it actually takes to get out.
We saw a gap in the support system: services were trying to help, but too many lacked the insight, language and real-world understanding needed to truly protect young people at risk. Professionals were doing their best, but the voices of those who had lived through exploitation were rarely at the table.
Trapline Legacy was built to change that.
We started with one aim:
to create a service led by people who have lived it, shaped it, survived it and now use that experience to help others break free.

Engaging group sessions that explore identity, choice, relationships, exploitation and safety. These programmes are designed to build confidence, awareness and positive peer connections.
Lived Expereience Led Training
Training for professionals that brings real insight into how exploitation happens, why young people get pulled in and what effective support actually looks like. We help teams strengthen their safeguarding practice and improve frontline responses.
