Turning lived experience into
frontline insight.
ABOUT.
About SH Consultancy CIC
My journey into this work didn’t start in a classroom or an office, it started with my own lived experience. I was criminally exploited from a young age, and later received a prison sentence for a drug charge. When I came home, I stepped into roles supporting young people, hoping to use what I’d been through to make a difference.
Very quickly, I realised something important:
The systems designed to support vulnerable young people often had no real understanding of their realities.
I worked alongside professionals who cared deeply, but many didn’t have a trauma-informed lens or the lived experience needed to recognise what exploitation actually looks and feels like. I could see the gaps, and I knew firsthand how dangerous those gaps can be for young people.
That’s why I founded SH Consultancy CIC
I wanted to be a voice in the sector that reflected the truth of what exploited young people are facing. I wanted to offer guidance that wasn’t just theoretical, but rooted in lived experience, honesty and understanding. And I wanted to support not only the young people themselves, but also the professionals who are trying their best, often without the right tools, language or insight.
Through my consultancy, I provide trauma-informed training, practical guidance and lived-experience-led support to help organisations strengthen their responses to exploitation, grooming and county-lines involvement. My work is about bridging the gap between professional knowledge and real-world experience, so that vulnerable young people receive support that is both effective and compassionate.
My mission is simple:
to help professionals understand young people the way young people need to be understood.
And when that happens, real change becomes possible.

- MASH Team Lead
Local Authority Children Services
Working with Sabrina has been transformative for our team. Her lived experience brought a depth of understanding that no textbook or policy training could ever provide. Staff left feeling more confident, more trauma-informed and better equipped to recognise the signs of exploitation. This is the kind of training every service should be investing in.
- Social Worker
Youth Justice Service
Sabrina’s delivery is exceptional. She blends professionalism with real-life experience in a way that challenges, educates and inspires. This is easily some of the most valuable training I’ve had in my career.
– Safeguarding and Pastoral Staff
School Pastoral Team
We brought Sabrina in to train our pastoral and safeguarding staff. The impact was immediate. Her ability to explain complex issues in a relatable way meant the whole team were engaged from start to finish. It has completely changed how we approach our most vulnerable students.
